
Peter joined Blumenfeld Development Group, Ltd. (BDG) in 1999 with over twenty years of diverse project management experience, specializing in new construction, alteration and renovation. He has represented BDG as an owner's representative on three of BDGs most significant projects, East River Plaza, Gotham Plaza and Bulova Retail Center.
Prior to joining the BDG staff, Peter was an officer at Lehrer, McGovern, Bovis, Inc. where he employed his expertise in all aspects of project management including consulting, pre-construction services, and construction management. His responsibilities included; project executive, contract administration, coordination of work and trades, owners representative, value engineering, estimating, scheduling, cost control, logistics, feasibility studies, purchasing, and coordination with city agencies.
Highlights of Mr. Mykytyn's prosperous career, prior to joining BDG, include:
-$240 million Grand Central Terminal revitalization.
-Construction of the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York City.
-The complete gut renovation of The Penn Club to the University of Pennsylvania.
-The project at 875 Third Avenue, which included extensive renovation and utility relocation. Successful negotiations with the MTA to relocate the 53rd Street subway entrance and relocate the main combined 53rd Street sewer and expand the 40,000 sq. ft. concourse level.
-The Grand View Towers condominium project in Lodi, NJ.
-The U.S.P.S. Academy addition in Maryland, which included five (5) dormitory buildings and a 197,000 sq. ft. training complex.
-Construction of a Class A office building at 590 fifth Avenue. The twenty-four (24) story mid-block Sliver building.
-Broad Financial Center construction of a 40 story 480,000 sq. ft. Class A office building in the heart of the financial District.
Peter graduated from the Pratt Institute with a B.A. in Architecture. He currently represents BDG as an owner's representative on a 1.2 million sq. ft multi-level retail center with an attached parking structure. At Gotham Plaza, Peter represented BDG as an owner's representative for a 120,000 sq. ft. retail/commercial building valued at $20 million. Peter has represented BDG at Bulova Corporate Centers class A office building as a contract administrator, architect and construction manager responsible for specifying, designing and overseeing the modernization of the various building M.E.P. Systems, renovation of key structural elements and upgrading all the individual waterproofing systems.
