The ribbon was cut Thursday on the new $298 million Tanger Oulets at the Arches shopping plaza in Deer Park.
Long Island's first environmentally certified shopping center is a collaborative effort of Syosset-based Blumenfeld Development Group, Apollo Real Estate Advisors and Tanger Factory Outlet Centers. Opening ceremonies included model Carol Alt and Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone.
Shoppers can now spend money at a collection of upscale outlets that include Neiman Marcus Last Call, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF Fifth, BCBG Maxazria, Kate Spade, American Eagle Outfitters, Guess, Lucky Brand Jeans, Jones New York, Old Navy, Bose Factory Store, Gap Outlet, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Michael Kors, Kenneth Cole, Bally, Hugo Boss, J. Crew, Movado Company Store, Juicy Couture, Timberland, US Polo, Christmas Tree Shops, Tommy Hilfiger Company Stores and more. Regal Cinemas, with a 16-screen movie house and an IMAX theater, is par of the Arches Center.
This weekend, the Arches will present a four-day, Carnevale-inspired, music and street fair featuring strolling musicians, mimes and stilt walkers.
Tanger Factory Outlet centers presently has ownership interests in or management responsibilities for 33 shopping centers in 22 states, totaling approximately 10.2 million square feet leased to over 2,200 stores that are operated by over 400 different store brands.
